Descrizione
‘Fihl’ is the former name of a locality north of Egna, which today is known as ‘Villa’. The winery of Peter Dipoli is located in ‘Villa’. The grapes for Fihl are Merlot grapes purchased in the Bassa Atesina. If the Iugum requires a qualitative change in the cuvée, a part of the Iugum base wine (Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon) is added to the Fihl before bottling. In great vintages such as 2002, the Fihl is bottled pure. Consequently, there is a reduction in the bottled quantity in these vintages.
