‘Fortuna Terrae’ means luck of the land in Latin; indeed, the company’s vines in this parcel of the Adrianna vineyard are lucky. The deep clay soils host wide varieties of native grasses that prevent erosion and attract beneficial insects, songbirds and mountain foxes. Because of the freshness imparted by the deep soils and high altitude, Fortuna Terrae wines have excellent acidity and delicate floral aromas. This wine is best enjoyed several years or decades after the harvest.
